This opportunity is for a candidate with a strong cyber security background who will function as an cyber security analyst. The ability to be a part of a fast-paced development team is essential.

Candidate must have previous sales experience selling to electric, water and/or gas utilities. Must have current contacts in the utilities industry!

This is a remote position and candidate can be located anywhere in USA except HI or AK.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Identify and qualify prospects through a variety of methods including networking, cold calling on telephone, email and in-person meetings.
  • Market, present and sell products and services to existing clients and prospect.
  • Pleasantly Push to achieve sales closures in a timely manner.
  • An experienced traveler and planner of travel in future weeks/months; travel multiple days per week and weeks per month to visit clients, prospects and attend trade shows.
  • Maintain an aggressive communication/visitation schedule with clients and prospects to ensure a strong relationship.
  • Create/Develop sales material and presentations including performance reports, PowerPoint, handouts, to present to customers/prospects.
  • Provide a superior level of customer services and customer communications with clients.
  • Keep or similar database updated with client data, notes and pipeline information
  • Attend weekly sales calls with sales team and at monthly with CEO.
  • Gather all information necessary to judge and price a business opportunity prior to providing a price quote.
  • While visiting clients/prospects and attending trade shows dress professionally, be on time and well prepared.
  • Prepare and/or participate in the preparation of client proposals and responses to RFI/RFP’s.
  • Request key team members when needed to close a deal
  • Performs other functions as assigned.


  • Must be a strong listener and note taker.
  • Strong communication skills both written and orally.
  • Keep informed on industry trends, services, and competitor activities sharing them with the company
  • Previous experience in technical solution or services sales of services to water, gas or electric utilities is a plus
  • Experience with Cybersecurity, IT, AMI and SCADA networks a plus
  • Must be deadline and detail-oriented.
  • Experience at tracking sales opportunities including upcoming visits, keys dates, potential revenue.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients/prospects through professional behavior, product knowledge and your network of contacts.
  • Ability to be a leader while also being a team player
  • Minimum of 3-years of outside technical sales experience and must live near a major US airport.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have current customer contacts within the utility industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience with a consultative, strategic technical or service sales process in the Utility industry, especially with Municipals and Rural Electric Cooperatives.
  • History of exceeding sale goals and growing existing revenue streams.
  • Proficiency in use of various Microsoft applications such as, Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ideal candidate could be currently with a manufacturers rep firm looking to move up into regional sales.
